The cultural and historic heritage of Canada are preserved and presented in many different ways and in many different places. Museums can contain items and artifacts from a previous age, homes a reflection of those Canadians who lived in them and the environment of their times. Forts can tell us a lot about the politics and issues of their times while archeological sites explain who ancient man and animals lived in the environment of the area. Landmarks are erected to remember a specific event, cause or issue while the churches and religious sites reveal the soul of the people of the country. All of these places from a piece of the puzzle that gives us a greater understanding of Canada and Canadians.
